Using The Mind To Make Gains
Look I get it, consistently working out, eating healthy, and prioritizing sleep it’s not an easy task. You’re busy with work or school, you have a family and kids, you have tons of activities going on. But if you are motivated enough you can achieve your dream body with all these other things going on.
I’ve noticed when I get the best results in the gym I am super motivated. I’ve taken the advice from Arnold Schwarzenegger when he says you first have to see the vision of what you want your body to look like in your mind. Once you see this and know exactly what you want, your desire for achieving it will increase. If you want to truly get in the best shape of your life it is going to take hard work. You will have to hit the gym and push yourself. Your muscles will start to burn, and that is when you keep pushing. They will burn some more and you keep going, this is what’s going to truly get you into the best shape of your life.
When it comes to diet, sometimes the cravings for the food you know you’re not supposed to eat will come in. But, if you have the vision and the desire to achieve that vision, you will push that craving out of your mind and keep going, sticking to your plan, knowing that this is how you are going to attain the exact look and feel of your vision.
So try this tonight before you go to bed, lay down, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, relax your body, And envision exactly what you want your body to look like. Visualize this down to every detail, how sculpted are your shoulders? How wide is your back? What do your abs and legs look like? I want you to truly feel what it would be like to have this body! How would you walk? How would your confidence increase? How would you feel when other people tell you, “damn you look so good!”
This is what’s going to keep you on the path and sticking to your program. Trust me it gets hard, life gets in the way, but the only way to achieve these amazing results is to want it more and more. The more you want it, the more you will push yourself in the gym, the better you will be at adhering to your diet. All it takes is 5 to 10 minutes a night, if you want to do more visualizing be my guess it’s only going to help you. Once you catch yourself daydreaming about having your dream body, now you have it. This is the sign that you desire it so greatly that you’ll do anything to achieve it.
